2011 New Mexico State Fair (Expo NM) Horse Council Booth

Although there was no Palomino Show at the NM State Fair in 2011, the club hosted the NM Horse Council booth on Friday, September 16th, during the Quarter Horse Show.

NMPEA, a NM Horse Council Member, was well represented by NMPEA President, Ron Morris; Secretary/Treasurer, Berniece Zielke; and Dr. Jason Turner from NM State University along with Palomino mare Absolutely Blonde (Scarlet). Scarlet was a hit with fair visitors and endured endless hours of petting.

The booth also featured some famous Palominos: Trigger, Mister Ed and Rising Sun (Elvis Presley's golden Palomino). Visitors could register for a drawing for a Breyer model horse of Rising Sun by answering questions about the three featured Palominos. Chris, from Albuqerque's west side, won the drawing.
